Bolin’s Body Type ≠ Fat — Here’s Why
Let’s take it step-by-step.
Exhibit A:
Muscles. I just see muscles, guys. But, wait, there’s more!
Exhibit B:
We’ve undressed Bolin even more here, and I’m still only seeing glorious muscles.
Let’s keep going.
Exhibit C:
And, now, if you had any doubts about ANY PORTION OF BOLIN’S BODY BELOW THE WAIST, KISS THEM GOODBYE. Because this boy here is ripped beyond compare. Thighs of steel. Buns of steel. You name it, he’s got it.
And, finally, the ICING ON THE CAKE. Some people didn’t understand the significance of this particular scene, but it has its purpose.

What does that tell us? His muscle mass is far, far greater than body fat content. It’s easier to float in water if you’ve got some decent body fat on you. Harder if you’re all muscle.
